Many of my friends, colleages and classmates hate math. I don't. I use the remnants of my math study in my quilts. This one is especially mathematical because of the shapes on it. These are so called Kepler - Poinsot polyhedra, a 3d objects that look like a complex and beautiful stars.
The whole quilt design was made in Corel Draw. The quilt is traditionally pieced entirely by hand. The hovering lines at the background is two sets of diagonals of a decagon, machine quilted and hand embroidered with pearl cotton.

Found this via the BQF and wow -- this is so fantastic! The colors are beautiful and the hand-quilting really adds a cool element that puts it over the top for me.
